Carousel of this week`s low carb meals - thoughts as to what worked for me - I struggle with addiction - I was triggered by the almond flour - not a great addition and would not make anything with almond flour in it - such as the pizza and the magic muffin made in a mug - triggered in that the noise and chatter around food increased - and I am uncomfortable with that.

Overall I am impressed how straight forward this way of eating can be and easy - in the sense that I don`t cook with more than a handful of ingredients - an the food is good.

Today I am travelling strong

Q. Why is a food addict posting about food?

A. To show my clients and you, how simple a low carb way of eating can be. Many many food addicts have a history of restricting so our default position may be to go straight to carnivore - all or nothing - classic Red Dog thinking - when actually low carb may be enough of a new way of eating to make it into abstinence. Or paleo or even paleo keto or then again ketovore or then again ketogenic - what I am saying is that no one size fits all when it comes to recovery however a great point to start is no sugar, no grains and no vegetable seed oils.

Breakfast: 3 eggs + cottage cheese, spinach and parmesan

Lunch: Leftover Ragu - I might have served this with warm buttery cabbage but I was not that hungry and I was on my own, and this was enough - simple base of onion, celery and a small carrot, sauted add mince, red wine vinegar or ACV or whatever and a tin of Italian plum tomatoes.

Supper: homemade green vegetable soup and scandi seeded cracker with a dollop of cream cheese.
